Garland Just Went Supernova

The thing is, Garland's been quiet this season (18.9 PPG, 6.9 APG), which means if you've got him on your bench or sleeping on him in free agency, tonight should change that. This is the kind of ceiling game that wins weeks in the playoffs. He hit eight threes. Eight. And he was running the offense like he had a cheat code enabled.

But here's where it got messy. P.J. Washington (+6.7 above average) stepped up with 21 points across 41 minutes, and Daniel Gafford actually had a quiet night despite being on the court. Those 13 rebounds from Gafford kept him relevant (23.1 Yahoo FP) but the Clippers' interior presence was just overwhelming.
Ryan Nembhard was a bright spot off the bench with +6.6 above average (13/5/9 across 31 minutes). That's the kind of pass-heavy performance that tells you he's got a role in this rotation we should be monitoring.
The Bagley Situation
Marvin Bagley III had an efficient night (17/7 on 7-8 shooting) and popped up on waiver wire radar... then immediately tanked because he only played 24 minutes. Dude went from trending up to trending down in real time. Don't chase this. Bagley's minutes are never consistent enough to trust, and one good game doesn't change that.

This game had all the markers of an elite fantasy performance (Garland's 63.1 Yahoo FP is borderline league-winning upside) mixed with a solid all-around effort from both sides. For Mavs fans like me, it hurts. For fantasy players, this is a reminder that the guys you're sleeping on can absolutely go off when the matchups align.
If Garland is available in your league, he shouldn't be. If you've got him and considered selling, don't. This is the floor-raiser game that makes guys like him hold value in championship stretches.
