Destiny Williams

Background

Destiny played college basketball at Clark Atlanta University, walking on as a freshman and earning a scholarship by junior year. After graduating with her education degree, she landed her dream job teaching middle school math and coaching the girls' basketball team.

She got her students into fantasy basketball as a way to make statistics and probability come alive—now she runs an after-school fantasy sports club that's one of the most popular activities on campus. Her class literally uses player stats for math problems, and her students have gotten surprisingly good at calculating true shooting percentage.
