The Headlines

Celtics put the 76ers in the spin cycle. Boston's 32-point demolition wasn't just a win, it was a statement. If you watched this game, you saw what elite defense looks like. Philly got absolutely cooked, and that has massive implications for their backcourt in fantasy. We're talking about a team that just got humbled at home.

OKC's two-headed monster is the real deal. The Thunder didn't just beat Phoenix, they obliterated them 119-84. This wasn't close. When your team wins by 35, someone's having a career night, and last night both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams showed why OKC is different this season.

Top Performers

  1. Jayson Tatum (BOS) - Led the Celtics' assault with a dominant all-around night. Elite scoring, rebounding, and defense. The kind of performance that reminds you why he's in that All-NBA conversation. If he's on your roster, you're sleeping well.

  2. Jalen Williams (OKC) - This is the breakout moment people have been waiting for. Williams went OFF against a struggling Suns defense. The kid is ready for volume and he's taking it.

  3. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) - Even with the Thunder's blowout, SGA got his. He feasted on Phoenix's defense and controlled the tempo. This is the consistency you need from your first-round pick.

  4. Jaylen Brown (BOS) - The other half of Boston's dynamic duo was clicking. When Tatum and Brown are both playing like this, the Celtics are basically unbeatable. Brown reminded everyone he's not just a sidekick.

  5. Defense/Team Play Winners - Both the Celtics and Thunder had entire rotations contributing to blowout wins. This is the kind of depth that wins championships. Role players got their looks and finished.

The Disappointments

Phoenix's entire starting five - The Suns got absolutely worked. When you're losing by 35, there are no individual performances that matter. Everyone got punched in the mouth. If you're rostering any Suns players, you're watching a team in free fall right now.

Philadelphia's backcourt - Getting outscored 123-91 at home is disqualifying. The 76ers looked sluggish and unfocused. This wasn't just a bad night, this looked like a team with real problems.

Waiver Priority

  1. Jalen Williams - If he's still available in your league, stop reading and claim him now. Last night proved he's going to eat on this Thunder team. The usage is there, the talent is there, and he's playing with a ball-dominant point guard who actually makes everyone better. This is your priority one add.

  2. Bench contributors from BOS/OKC - Both teams showed that their depth chart is ready to play. Whoever got minutes in those blowouts is worth stashing. Depth pieces from championship-caliber teams matter.

  3. Anyone from Phoenix's bench - The opposite move. If someone pulled a Suns player trying to catch a bounce-back, don't touch it until we see some competence.

Sell High, Buy Low

Sell: Ride out the Celtics' hot start if you have Tatum or Brown and someone's offering premium value. One incredible game doesn't change the season, but it does spike trade interest.

Buy: Jalen Williams in any trade talks. The market hasn't caught up to him yet. If someone's panicking after last night or thinks it was a fluke, get him locked into your roster.

Avoid: Don't panic on Suns pieces yet. Phoenix can't be this bad, right? But also don't buy the dip until they show something. This team needs to prove last night was an outlier.

Quick Notes

  • The Celtics are for real. That defense is suffocating.
  • OKC's starting five has legitimate chemistry. This team plays team basketball.
  • Phoenix has work to do. Like, serious work.
