The Headlines

Victor Wembanyama just put the league on notice. 83.1 Yahoo points in a loss? Yeah, that's a problem for everyone else. The Spurs got torched in Denver, but Wemby's performance was so dominant it doesn't even matter. This is what we drafted him for. Meanwhile, Ware's breakout night (69.8 FP) against Washington showed the Heat's bench depth is legit dangerous. Miami's not messing around this season.

Top Performers

  1. Victor Wembanyama (SAS) - 83.1 Yahoo FP. Absolute takeover game. Even in a loss, he was the most impactful player on the floor.

  2. Ware (MIA) - 69.8 Yahoo FP. Out of nowhere dominance. Heat's role players are stepping up when it matters.

  3. Nikola Jokic (DEN) - Delivered when it mattered most in that Denver thriller. The MVP keeps doing MVP things.

  4. Heat Bench Guys - Multiple contributors in the 152-136 romp. Miami's depth is a cheat code right now.

  5. Washington's Cast (WAS) - Got torched 152-136, so nobody's walking away feeling great, but they hung around longer than expected.

The Disappointments

The Wizards got exposed. Being down 16 in a blowout loss means their star power couldn't keep pace with Miami's balanced attack. This wasn't one bad quarter, this was a full collapse.

The Spurs' supporting cast around Wembanyama couldn't carry their weight in Denver. One generational talent can't will a team to victory every night, and last night proved it.

Waiver Priority

  1. Ware (MIA) - First add. The breakout is real and he's getting run. 69.8 points don't happen by accident. If he's still available in your league, grab him now before other managers catch on.

  2. Denver's Role Players - Check the box score from the Nuggets win. Jokic can't do it alone every night, and someone had to help him close out that thriller. Depth matters.

  3. Heat Bench Contributors - Miami's showing they can win games through their entire rotation. Don't sleep on who else stepped up in that 152-point output.

Sell High, Buy Low

Sell High on Wembanyama? Nope. Don't be that guy. 83 points is his floor now. He's the definition of hold forever.

Buy Low on Spurs Role Players - They got embarrassed in Denver, but they're not a bad team. Someone around Wemby is going to get consistent minutes and could be available cheap after this stinker.

Buy Low on Wizards - Yeah, they lost by 16, but they're not this bad. Washington's probably desperate to prove something next game. Role players could bounce back hard.

Sell High on Heat Role Players - Before we get too carried away with Ware and the bench guys, remember: Jokic and Wembanyama nights expose who the real stars are. Don't trade away your first-rounder for a hot hand.

Bottom Line: Wembanyama just gave you a masterclass in why you drafted him early. Grab Ware before your league mates do. And if you're holding Spurs or Wizards depth, don't panic sell after one bad night.
