The Headlines
Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo just reminded everyone why the Heat are sneaky fantasy gold. Herro went nuclear while Bam outdueled Tyrese Maxey in what looked like a trap game on paper. Miami's 119-109 win over Philly proves the Eastern Conference is a bloodbath and your studs need to perform on back-to-backs.
Top Performers
Tyler Herro - The sixth man showed why some teams view him as a third star. He was the engine that kept Miami rolling in crunch time. (exact FP pending box score confirmation, but he carried)
Bam Adebayo - The big man went to work against Philly's interior. Consistent two-way monster who quietly stuffed the stat sheet. This is who you need in playoffs.
Tyrese Maxey - He put up a fight even in the loss. Maxey's scoring kept Philly competitive all night, but couldn't quite get them over the hump. Still a stud floor.
James Harden - Philly's closer showed flashes but couldn't quite will them to victory. Volume was there, efficiency wasn't.
Marcus Smart/Role Players - The ancillary Heat guys who benefited from the win. Worth monitoring if they're seeing consistent run.
The Disappointments
Tyrese Maxey owners got the short end of the stick here. He scored enough to be fantasy relevant, but the loss stings and he couldn't take over when it mattered most. In a game you'd expect a star to go 40+ FP, he fell short.
The Sixers' role players got exposed. When Harden and Maxey are carrying the load and Joel Embiid isn't in the lineup, the supporting cast gets hunted. Anyone relying on depth here got cooked.
Waiver Priority
Backup Heat Centers/PFs - If Bam picked up an injury (monitor closely), grab whoever's next in line immediately. The Heat's center rotation just proved it's valuable in a tight Eastern Conference race.
Heat Bench Contributors - Anyone who got run last night in garbage time. Miami's depth just showed some promise.
Sixers Bench - Philly's role guys got torched. Don't panic add here, but note that the loss might force rotation changes.
Sell High, Buy Low
Sell: Tyler Herro if you can get premium return. He had a monster night against a weakened Sixers squad. Elite buyers might overpay thinking this is his new ceiling. Cash out while the hype is hot.
Buy: Bam Adebayo stays a rock. This performance should lower his trade value slightly since owners might think the Sixers' interior showed cracks. You know what Bam is. Get him cheap if someone panics.
Monitor: Tyrese Maxey - One bad game doesn't tank a guy, but if this trend continues, sellers might get desperate. Don't buy yet, but circle him for next week if losses pile up.
Quick Notes
The Heat-Sixers matchup was closer than the final score suggests. If you were streaming defense, Miami came through. Philly's D got gassed in the second half.
Bam versus Maxey in a fantasy head-to-head would've been close, but Bam edged it out with his two-way work. That's the type of matchup that matters in playoffs.
