The Headlines

Jalen Duren just put the league on notice. The Pistons big man dropped a 61.5-point fantasy night with a full double-double, absolutely demolishing New Orleans. This isn't a "he had a good game" situation. This is a "why isn't he owned in your league yet" situation. If Duren's still available in your league, you're leaving points on the table.

The other story worth watching: Kon Knueppel had himself a legitimate breakout against the Knicks. Charlotte stole a road W in New York, but the real fantasy headline is Knueppel suddenly producing like a rotation asset. This one matters for deep league guys.

The Disappointments

New Orleans came out flat. The entire Pelicans rotation got punked by Detroit. If you rode any of their guys yesterday expecting vintage performance, you got burned. Duren made them look silly on both ends.

The Knicks couldn't hold serve at home against a Charlotte team that showed real grit. If Brunson didn't show up the way he needed to, your Knicks stack got crushed. This wasn't a blowout effort from New York.

Waiver Priority

Jalen Duren - GRAB NOW if available. A 61.5-point night isn't a fluke when your role involves this much volume. He's either free in shallow leagues or criminally underowned.
Kon Knueppel (CHA) - If he produced in a meaningful way last night and isn't owned, take a flier. Breakout games sometimes stick around.
Anyone from the Orlando bench - The Magic won a close one. Check who got run out there and might see consistent minutes going forward.

Sell High, Buy Low

DeMar DeRozan just put up 60 ESPN fantasy points and lost. His value is at an interesting spot right now. If you own him and someone's offering you a slight overpay based on that stat line, the loss context makes him a potential sell. Sacramento clearly isn't built to close out tight games even when DeRozan goes nuclear.

Jalen Duren is the inverse. Everyone's going to want to sell high on a 61.5-point night thinking it's unsustainable. Don't sell. This looks like his actual ceiling, and Detroit's offense is starting to run through him. Buy the dips if they happen.

Kon Knueppel - This is a "buy low" opportunity if he continues getting run. One good game doesn't make a player, but consistent opportunity in Charlotte's rotation could turn him into a real asset. Monitor the minutes going forward.

What's Trending Down

New Orleans role players - If you're holding anyone from the Pelicans bench expecting steady production, last night was a reality check. Detroit made them irrelevant. Don't get caught holding a dead weight from that roster.

Knicks depth - New York couldn't grind it out at home. If your league has guys carrying Knicks bench pieces hoping for 15 minutes a night, the loss to Charlotte means fewer opportunities and less team success going forward.

Bottom line: Duren is the story. Grab him. The rest of the night was mostly about bad matchups and one team showing up while the other didn't. Nothing earth-shattering beyond that Pistons big man putting up vintage lottery numbers.
