Ace Bailey Just Put the League on Alert. Toronto Couldn't Stop the Breakthrough
Raptors 143, Jazz 127. Box score: Jazz got cooked in the second half, but here's what matters for your league: Ace Bailey just had the game of his life, and it's not a fluke. This 37-point explosion with 6 boards and 7 threes is the kind of performance that changes a guy's trajectory.

The Bailey Breakout
Look at those splits. Bailey shot 11-21 from the field and 7-8 from three. That's not luck, that's volume plus efficiency. He went +23.6 PPG over his season average and the Jazz were literally feeding him looks all night. More importantly, he played 35 minutes, which signals the Jazz trust him in crunch time. This is a guy averaging 13.4 PPG who just proved he can hang with 37-point nights.
If Bailey is still sub-50% owned in your league, add him immediately. The ownership spike (+8.6%) is happening now, but you can still get ahead of this. His role just expanded, and he's shown the skill to run with it.
Raptors Spread the Wealth, But Watch Shead
Toronto won convincingly, and the scoring was distributed across five different guys with 13+ points. Sandro Mamukelashvili led with 48.8 Yahoo points on 23/4/2 with 5 steals in 32 minutes. That's a big game for a reserve, but here's the thing: he went +12.2 PPG over his season average. That's a career day, not a trend.
The real play from this game is Jamal Shead. 15 assists on 7 points doesn't pop off the screen, but it's exactly what you want from a point guard. He's running the show in Toronto's system and put up 28.7 Yahoo points on that line. Compare that to his 5.3 AST season average, and you're looking at +9.7 assists tonight. If Shead is available in your league, he's a sneaky waiver grab. Point guards who can run an offense are fantasy gold.
RJ Barrett also showed up with 27 points on 10-15 shooting. That's the kind of efficiency you want to see from him, and it's +7.9 PPG over his season average.
The One Thing to Watch
Scottie Barnes put up 45.4 Yahoo points with that 20/7/10 line, which looks incredible until you realize it's almost exactly his season average. He was exactly what you'd expect, nothing more. For a guy of his caliber, that's solid but not the kind of ceiling game that moves your playoff needle.
The story here isn't really about the Raptors dominating. It's about Bailey proving he belongs in the conversation for Jazz scoring options, and Shead being a legitimate point guard to stream. Get ahead of that ownership curve while you still can.
