Jaylen Brown Was Absolutely Inevitable
Jaylen Brown put on a masterclass. 32 points on 11-21 shooting, perfect from the line (9-9), and yeah, that's +3.6 versus his season average but honestly that undersells it. When you're an All-NBA caliber player and you show up to play, the fantasy world just gets out of the way. 47.7 Yahoo points is the kind of output you're building your lineups around, and there's zero concern here. This is what you drafted him for.
The real story though? Payton Pritchard dropped 31.5 Yahoo points as a bench guy in a blowout. Let me say that again because it matters: the Sixth Man of the Year award winner just put up 19 points with 7 assists in 30 minutes off the bench. That's not a fluke night. That's a dude who's found his role and is thriving in it. If you've got him sitting on your wire in 12-team leagues, that needs to change immediately. Look, bench big men in blowout wins are volatile, but when someone plays that efficiently (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT), you're seeing real production, not garbage time nonsense. The Celtics' Depth is Suffocating
This is the part that should scare every team that's not Boston. The Warriors looked undermanned tonight, and it's worth noting that some of their usual guys just weren't there. That depth they're supposed to have? Couldn't manufacture buckets in a hostile environment.
What This Means for Your Lineups
If you've got Payton Pritchard available anywhere, add him. He's going to get consistent usage, and tonight proved he can do damage in blowouts too. He's a legit fantasy asset at this point.
Luka Garza is interesting but risky. Bench centers in blowouts can put up weird numbers, and you need to see if this 17-minute role sticks before you commit.
Draymond Green staying positive versus his average is... fine, but it's a reminder that when the Warriors get pushed around, even the anchors feel it. Don't sell, but don't buy too hard either.
And for the Celtics guys, they're doing what they do. Brown and Tatum aren't going anywhere if you own them, and Pritchard just became a legitimate add if he's still available in your league.
