Knicks Wire Out Jazz with Brunson Leading the Way, but Sensabaugh's Breakout is the Real Story
The Knicks rolled into Salt Lake City and took care of business, 134-117, in a game that told two very different fantasy stories. Jalen Brunson did exactly what All-NBA second-teamers do, but the noise from this one shouldn't be about the guy who's supposed to go off. It's about Brice Sensabaugh reminding everyone that Utah's got more firepower than the standings suggest.

Brunson Did His Job, But He Didn't Steal the Show
Jalen Brunson finished with 50.8 Yahoo fantasy points on 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. That's exactly what you pay for with an All-NBA guard. He hit the free throw line hard (10-11) and stayed efficient enough (7-16 FG) to get the win. The +1.8 over his season average shows this wasn't some historic outing, just Brunson being Brunson. He's locked in as your starter until the wheels fall off.
The real intrigue here? Everyone else putting up numbers on the losing side of a 17-point game.
Sensabaugh Went Nuclear (and We Need to Talk About It)
This is the story. Brice Sensabaugh dropped 41.5 Yahoo fantasy points (29/5/5 on 9-19 shooting with 6 threes) and demolished his season average by +15.9 points. That's not a variance play. That's a third-year wing starting to realize his potential against a Knicks defense that was vulnerable enough to let the Jazz stay competitive for stretches.
Look at his line: 29 points on reasonable efficiency (47% FG, 50% 3P rate). He played 29 minutes and looked like he belonged in a starting lineup. The ownership bump from +0.8% reflects league-wide interest, but he's still sitting at only 33.3% owned. In deeper leagues or if you're thin at forward spots, Sensabaugh is absolutely someone to target on the waiver wire tomorrow.
Here's the thing though: don't get drunk on one game. He's averaging 13.1 PPG with weak playmaking (1.7 APG). Tonight was him playing out of his mind against a beatable opponent. But he's clearly got the skill to put up games like this. Monitor his minutes and role going forward.
Jordan Clarkson Was the Second Coming
Jordan Clarkson (36.5 Yahoo FP, 27/5/3) went absolutely nuclear for Utah. This dude averaged 8.9 PPG coming into tonight and just dropped 27 on 10-15 shooting. That's a +18.1 point explosion. He splashed three 3-pointers and didn't miss from the line (4-4 FT).
The problem? Clarkson's been DNP-CD territory for most of the season. This was likely a case of the Jazz actually needing production and getting it from their bench. He played just 26 minutes. Don't panic-add him thinking this is a new era. He's still a streaky reserve who gets buried on the depth chart when healthy players return.
KAT Did KAT Things, Minus the Rebounds
Karl-Anthony Towns put up 37.9 Yahoo fantasy points (21/7/7) on solid 8-13 shooting with three 3-pointers. He's an All-NBA third-team selection, so 38 fantasy points is basically what we're paying for here. The interesting bit is the -4.9 rebound shortfall against his season average of 11.9. That's not injury-related (he played 30 minutes), it's just Utah out-rebounding New York in stretches and Towns not attacking the glass as hard.
Still a W for Knicks owners. He's reliable and tonight was reliable.
OG Anunoby Stays Solid
OG Anunoby (33.9 Yahoo FP, 22/2/1 with 2 steals and 1 block) was efficient but quiet. He went 7-10 from the field with 3 threes and 5 free throws, which is the exact profile of a two-way wing who doesn't need the ball. The ownership is already at 89%, so he's solidly rostered. Nothing to do here except start him and trust the process.
Ace Bailey Is Getting Real Minutes (Finally)
Ace Bailey (30.8 Yahoo FP, 21/4/2) played 35 minutes for Utah and showed some actual shot creation (8-16 shooting, 5 threes). He's up +0.8% in ownership and at 33.3%, which means people are finally waking up to the fact that he's getting legitimate run. The +8.5 point bump over his season average signals he can hang in deeper formats.
The question is consistency. Does he stay at 35 minutes or does this normalize to 20-25? In 12-team leagues he's borderline pickable if you're short wings. In 10-team leagues, wait and see one more game.
Keyonte George Absolutely Stunk (and There's No Excuse)
Keyonte George (25.9 Yahoo FP, 14/2/5) came in as a 23.6 PPG guy and completely disappeared. He played just 20 minutes and wasn't even a factor in a game the Jazz needed to stay close in. This feels like a matchup problem or possibly some bench time, but here's what matters for fantasy: George owners got torched tonight.
The -9.6 point swing from his season average is real. If this is a recurring thing, you need to know before you make a trade for him. One game doesn't tank a player, but monitor his role over the next few contests.
The Bottom Line
The Knicks' depth showed up and closed out an opponent on the road. Brunson, Towns, and OG Anunoby did their jobs. For Utah, Sensabaugh and Clarkson put up numbers that might get people excited for all the wrong reasons. Sensabaugh's worth a closer look going forward. Clarkson's one of those "he'll go off randomly" guys you bench until he's actually healthy and consistent.
If you've got a claim in for Sensabaugh, I'd submit it. But don't burn a high priority. He's interesting, not essential, until we see the production repeat.
