Blazers Torch the 76ers Behind Camara's Historic Shooting Night

Portland 135, Philadelphia 118 wasn't just a win. It was a statement game that completely flipped the script on what we thought we knew about the Blazers' ceiling. And if you have any of these guys on your roster, you're probably still refreshing your league to make sure the stats are real.

Let's start with the elephant in the room: Toumani Camara just had the kind of game that makes you check the box score three times. 30 points on 10-12 shooting with 8 threes in 27 minutes. That's +16.8 points above his season average. I'm not saying to panic-trade him away, but I'm also not saying this is the new normal. He's a role player who got fed in rhythm tonight and absolutely went nuclear. He finished 41.1 Yahoo FP in less than half a game. That efficiency doesn't scale up to 35+ minutes automatically, so temper your expectations before you start penciling him into your weekly ceiling games. But for tonight? He cooked.

Deni Avdija did what Deni Avdija does, which is put up reliable 50+ point nights when he gets the volume. 26/10/8 on 8-16 shooting is exactly on brand. He's been a borderline top-20 player all year, and this wasn't an outlier, it was just Tuesday for him. If he's still available in your league, he absolutely shouldn't be.

Now the Sixers side, and this is where things get a little messier. Tyrese Maxey dropped 30 points, which sounds great until you realize he shot 10-21 and only grabbed one rebound. He finished 36.2 Yahoo FP, which is fine, it's his baseline, but he didn't elevate. He met expectations, didn't exceed them. In a game where the Sixers got absolutely punked, Maxey's volume scorer vibes didn't translate to fantasy dominance the way you'd want.

The real story on the Philly side? Role guys filling in. Kelly Oubre Jr. went 6-13 but hit his threes and got to the line (4-4 FT). He was +4.7 from his season average and finished 41.3 Yahoo FP. That's legit and sustainable because Oubre's been getting consistent minutes and shot diet all year. Andre Drummond grabbed 7 boards with 5 assists in 26 minutes, which bumped him to 31.9 FP. He was +4.0 points above his average, which is the kind of quiet night that wins you your fantasy matchup if you need it.

The problem? Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Quentin Grimes were all no-shows. The Sixers didn't just lose this game, they got dismantled without their stars, and that's the kind of blowout where fantasy depth gets exposed. The role guys had to carry the load and some did (Oubre, Drummond) but it wasn't enough.

The Blazers Got Spicy and It Matters

Portland just put 135 on the board at home, and that's not a fluke offensive night. Deni Avdija is a top-20 fantasy asset, full stop. Donovan Clingan had 15/7/3 with 4 blocks and knocked down 3 threes (yes, Clingan went 3-for-10 from deep), finishing 38.9 Yahoo FP. Jrue Holiday ran the offense clean with 13/7/7 and only one turnover. This wasn't one guy carrying the load, it was a team effort that executed.

The Blazers depth is actually legitimate fantasy-relevant. Scoot Henderson didn't blow up (12/2/7 on 2-5 shooting is meh), but he's getting 19 minutes and running the second unit. Jerami Grant went 15 points on reasonable efficiency. This is a team that can stack their fantasy lineups some nights.

The Waiver Wire Move

Dominick Barlow is dropping in leagues (down 0.5% to 3.9% owned) because the Sixers got demolished. Don't bite. One bad blowout loss doesn't change his role. But if someone in your league panic-dropped him, grab him. He'll be back to his minutes once the injury report clears up.

The real action is watching Oubre's ownership. He's been a silent fantasy contributor all year and tonight proved he can go off in the right matchups. In 12-team leagues, he should be owned. In 10-team, he might be on the wire, and that's a mistake.

The Bigger Picture

The Sixers have no margin for error without their stars healthy. Losing Embiid and George to a blowout like this is rough, but it's also a reminder that depth doesn't replace star power. For fantasy purposes, Maxey is still your guy, but you need Embiid and George back and healthy to feel good about that Sixers stack.

The Blazers just reminded everyone they can beat good teams. Avdija is a sneaky top-20 play, Clingan is solid in the middle rounds, and Camara is a lottery ticket that just hit. Don't overreact to one explosion, but also don't ignore the Blazers' ceiling anymore.
