Isaiah Collier Just Reminded Everyone Why He's Special: Jazz 131, Pacers 122

Look, I'm not going to sit here and tell you I saw this coming. Isaiah Collier put up numbers last night that should have every fantasy manager paying attention, and I say that as someone who watches film constantly. This wasn't a fluke performance either, which is what makes it dangerous.

The Collier Explosion

Collier went 22 assists, 17 points, 5 rebounds in 48 minutes. That's not just a good night, that's a statement. He dropped 63 Yahoo fantasy points and that's with zero three-pointers made. This dude was the engine, and the Jazz offense ran through him all game. The +15.0 assists versus his season average? That's sustainable when you're running the offense like that. He played all 48 minutes because Utah trusted him to execute down the stretch.

Here's what matters for your leagues: Collier is becoming a must-roster player in points leagues, especially those that value assists heavy. My dad always says ball movement wins games, and Collier proved it last night. If he's still available in your league, grab him. If he's on someone's bench, send a low-ball trade offer now before everyone catches on.

The Youth Movement Actually Showed Up

The Pacers got absolutely demolished by young Jazz players who are tired of losing. Quenton Jackson dropped 24 points on 9-10 shooting in just 17 minutes. That's not a typo. That's +16.2 from his season average. I'm not ready to tell you to go all-in on him yet, but if he keeps getting burn like this, you need to be watching closely.

Jarace Walker also went nuts with 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Add the 1 steal and he hit 32.2 Yahoo points. That's +13.9 from his average. This Pacers team has serious offensive weapons when they're clicking, but they're missing their main guys. When Bennedict Mathurin, Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, and T.J. McConnell are all out, you get these weird box scores where random role players get unleashed.

Johnny Furphy was another random monster with 14/7/6 in 28 minutes. These are the kind of stat lines that make you want to add guys off waivers, but be careful. Once the Pacers get healthy, these minutes evaporate faster than water in Houston summer heat.

The Actual Bright Spots

Kyle Filipowski put up 50.7 Yahoo points with a pristine 16/16 rebounding line. That's not a typo either. That's +9.6 rebounds from his average. If you own Filipowski, you're eating good right now. Ace Bailey also contributed 42.3 points with elite efficiency at 19 points on 7-10 shooting plus 3 steals. That ownership bump from 27.3% to 27.4% is about to explode if he keeps shooting like that.

Lauri Markkanen put up his usual 27 points, but here's the thing: he only grabbed 3 rebounds when his season average is 7.0. That's concerning for a guy you need the boards from. He played just 26 minutes and his usage was down. Don't panic yet, but monitor his minutes for your next set.

What You Should Actually Do

If Collier is in free agency, he needs to be your next pickup. Same for Ace Bailey if you have bench space. The ownership is still under 30%, which is wild for someone putting up 63 Yahoo points.

On the flip side, don't get crazy about those Pacers bench guys. Jackson, Walker, and Furphy looked great tonight because their team was short-handed. When everyone gets back, those minutes shrink. You can stash one if you're desperate, but don't sell the farm.

If you own Markkanen, just keep an eye on those minutes. One bad game doesn't mean panic, but 26 minutes in a loss is worth tracking.

Stay locked in. Deadline's coming and these waiver moves matter.
