The Headlines
Tyrese Maxey just put on a masterclass and dropped 70.8 fantasy points on the Pacers. This wasn't a one-man show either, he had Joel Embiid running alongside him, and together they turned Indianapolis into a blender. The 76ers are officially clicking, and if you've got Maxey on your squad, you're eating good right now.
The other massive story: Chet Holmgren is putting together an MVP-caliber stretch. His 45.6 points in OKC's 136-104 demolition of Cleveland isn't just a one-off. The Thunder are the most fun team to roster right now, and Chet's the engine.
Also worth your attention: Victor Wembanyama went absolutely nuclear with 57.5 points against Utah. This kid's consistency is insane.
Top Performers
- Tyrese Maxey - 70.8 FP (76ers win)
- Karl-Anthony Towns - 50.6 FP (Mavericks win)
- Victor Wembanyama - 57.5 FP (Spurs win)
- Jalen Johnson - 57.2 FP (Hawks loss)
- James Harden - 60.9 FP (Clippers loss)
Maxey's the obvious number one here. He's touching 70 FP on a nightly basis now, which is elite tier stuff. Towns putting up 50+ is wild considering everyone was sleeping on his fantasy value early in the season. Wembanyama continues to be a cheat code, and the fact he's doing this consistently means he's locked in as a core piece. Harden's 60.9 in a loss is exactly the kind of floor he provides when he's dialed in. Jalen Johnson putting up 57.2 in a loss shows he's got standalone fantasy value, not just dependent on Hawks wins.
The Disappointments
Steph Curry underperformed in Golden State's blowout win. When your team scores 135 and you're not the fantasy star, that's a rough night. He's been so consistent that this should be a blip, but monitor it.
Jayson Tatum got absolutely worked in Boston's loss to Detroit. The Celtics getting punked at home is one thing, but their star going quiet makes it worse. This is a trap game that might tank his value depending on league panic.
The real shock? Brandon Ingram and the Heat got cooked 135-112 by Golden State. The Heat's defense looked absolutely cooked, and there weren't many fantasy winners outside of Podziemski.
Waiver Priority
Collin Gillespie - Yes, really. The Suns just won 126-117 in Brooklyn and Gillespie posted 40.5 FP. He's not a one-game wonder if he's getting this much run. Grab him now before everyone else figures it out.
Max Christie - He "went nuclear" per the recap against New York. 97-114 Mavericks blowout means his role is expanding. Check your wire immediately.
Keyonte George - The Jazz tank is still rolling, but George had a clutch night and he's the long-term play in Utah. Deep league add.
Brandin Podziemski - 38.2 FP in a Warriors blow-out win means he's becoming their fantasy closer. If he's available, he's a solid rotation piece.
Sell High, Buy Low
Sell High: Jalen Johnson just went for 57.2 in a loss. Hawks fans are mad, but the fantasy world's about to overpay for a single night. If someone offers you a proven commodity, take it. He's talented, but Atlanta's a mess.
Buy Low: Jayson Tatum after getting worked in Detroit. One bad game against a scrappy Pistons team shouldn't tank his value permanently. If someone's panic selling, this is your chance to buy.
Buy Low: Steph Curry underperforming in a 135-point Warriors win is backwards. He'll bounce back. Get him cheap if someone's overreacting.
Sell High: James Harden posted 60.9 FP in a loss. That's unsustainable volume. If you can flip him for a safer player getting fewer minutes, do it.
