The Headlines
Last night was an absolute fantasy bloodbath in the best way possible. We're talking historic scoring nights across the board. Paolo Banchero just put up 57.6 fantasy points to remind everyone he's a generational talent. Anfernee Simons broke the internet with 50.8 points off the bench. LeBron James is still putting up 54.8 fantasy points at his age while LaMelo Ball was out here dropping 30. And that's just the start. The league is WIDE open right now, and the waiver wire is about to get absolutely chaotic.
Top Performers
Paolo Banchero - 57.6 FP (Magic beat Grizzlies 118-111): The kid is THE guy in Orlando. This wasn't a fluke, this was a statement.
LeBron James - 54.8 FP (Hornets over Lakers 135-117): Father Time keeps getting served eviction notices. Bron's still putting up elite fantasy nights.
Jimmy Butler III - 53.6 FP (Warriors beat Knicks 126-113): Madison Square Garden was just a practice gym last night. Butler in takeover mode.
Anfernee Simons - 50.8 FP (Celtics over Heat 119-114): This one's wild. Off the bench production that's going to make people scramble at the trade deadline.
Chet Holmgren - 48.3 FP (Thunder over Rockets 111-91): Defense wins championships and fantasy leagues, apparently.
The Disappointments
Giannis Antetokounmpo got absolutely worked in San Antonio. The Bucks walked into a 119-101 beatdown and the Greek Freak couldn't carry them. Not the performance we expected against a Spurs team that's supposed to be rebuilding.
Devin Booker and the Suns somehow lost to the Pistons 108-105. That's the kind of loss that keeps you up at night if you've got your chips on Phoenix.
Waiver Priority
Naji Marshall - 43.2 FP: The Mavericks bench is cooking and he's getting real minutes in that system. Grab him before Dallas realizes what they have.
Grayson Allen - 46 FP: Shocking performance in Detroit, but this is about opportunity. He's getting shots and the Pistons are actually competing. Depth play with upside.
Victor Wembanyama - 40.5 FP: We already knew he was special, but 40+ fantasy points is a reminder that the hype is real. If he's still available in your league, something's wrong.
Onyeka Okongwu - 47.8 FP: The Hawks got demolished but Okongwu was putting in work. Atlanta's got to lean on him going forward.
Sell High, Buy Low
Anfernee Simons just became fantasy gold off that 50.8-point night, but pump the brakes before you give up assets. His role is changing and Boston clearly trusts him off the bench in closeouts. If you can flip him to someone who got excited about one night, do it.
LeBron James is putting up 54.8 and looking fresh. This is the time to BUY if you can get him at a discount from someone panicking about age. Don't sell.
Paolo Banchero at 57.6 is your anchor moving forward. Don't even think about dealing him. He's arrived.
Chet Holmgren is becoming a defensive maven and fantasy asset. The Thunder are legit and he's the foundation. Hold tight.
Look, Jimmy Butler III had a monster night but Warriors games are volatile. If someone wants to panic-trade you depth for him, consider it, but don't overpay thinking every night is MSG takeover night.
Bottom Line
Tonight's slate was absolutely stacked with elite fantasy performances. The message is clear: playmakers are eating, and the waiver wire is about to get expensive. If you've got cap space, use it on Marshall and Allen before your league gets wise. The Banchero, LeBron, and Butler performances are real, not flukes. Build around them. And seriously, if Wembanyama is still on waivers in your league, fix that immediately.
