Charlotte Just Obliterated Utah and Nobody's Talking About It
The Hornets dropped 150 points on the Jazz and it wasn't even close. But here's the wild part, it wasn't just LaMelo going nuclear or one guy carrying the load. Charlotte had like eight different dudes step up, and from a fantasy perspective, this game is basically screaming "the Jazz are cooked" while simultaneously handing us some serious league winners off the waiver wire.
Utah looked like they didn't show up. Keyonte George, who's averaging 23.7 points, came out with 4 on 2-7 shooting. That's not a bad night, that's a disaster. Meanwhile, the role players are the ones keeping Utah's fantasy value alive, which tells you everything you need to know about how broken this team looked.

The Winners
Isaiah Collier absolutely took over the Jazz offense with 36.7 Yahoo fantasy points, putting up 17/1/9 in 34 minutes. He crushed his season average of 8.6 points by almost 10 buckets and added two extra assists. This dude is still finding his role but when Utah's getting blown out this badly, he's getting run and making plays. Buy low on him in deeper leagues because he's clearly earning the offense.
Brandon Miller delivered 34.8 FP with 18 points in just 21 minutes off the bench. Look, he was down 1.4 from his season average, but the efficiency was there, 7-19 from the field. He didn't need to be perfect tonight because Charlotte was running everything through everyone. The floor is solid here.
Sion James is the real flyer to watch. 28.9 FP off the bench in a blowout, grabbing 7 boards and dishing 5 assists on minimal scoring (4 points). He's averaging 6.5/3.5/1.9 for the season and tonight he basically doubled his rebounding and assist volume. That's the kind of per-36 minute spike that matters in fantasy.
The Letdowns
Keyonte George absolutely flopped. 14.9 Yahoo FP on 4/2/5 is catastrophic when your season average is 23.7/4.2/6.8. That's minus 19.7 points from his norm. You don't panic and trade him away, but this game tells you the Jazz are so broken defensively that opposing teams are going to feast. George gets pressured early and never finds a rhythm. Watch the next two games closely.
Lauri Markkanen didn't play, which is brutal for Utah owners. Without knowing the injury situation, this is a hold-and-pray situation. When he's back, he's their only real consistent scoring option outside George.
The Trends
The Hornets essentially said "let's get everybody involved" and it worked. Brandon Miller only played 21 minutes but went for 34.8 FP. Miles Bridges 21 minutes, 30.9 FP. Even bench guys like Ryan Kalkbrenner (23 min, 28.8 FP) are eating. Charlotte's offensive depth is legit and this game proves they don't need to ride one guy.
Utah's getting exposed on both ends. Collier getting 34 minutes is actually meaningful because it means the Jazz are leaning on young guys to try and fix things. Kyle Filipowski underperformed his season average (22.5 FP vs 9.2 ppg norm), Cody Williams overperformed (+10 vs avg), which just screams "inconsistent team, inconsistent fantasy value."
The Moves
Add Sion James everywhere. 28.9 FP off the bench in a blowout means he's carved out a role. His per-minute numbers tonight are insane. Grab him now before everyone realizes Charlotte's depth is actually playable.
Sell high on Brandon Miller if you can. He's a solid player but 34.8 FP in 21 minutes feels like the ceiling for him when he's sharing offensive load with five other weapons. Move him to someone who just saw "18 points" and thinks it's consistent.
Do NOT panic on Keyonte George, but be aware. One terrible game isn't the end, but if this pattern continues over the next week, you might need to look at a backup guard. The Jazz are getting torched and George's usage is going to stay weird until they fix their defense.
Next Up
Utah needs to figure out their life fast. If they get demolished again, even casual fantasy players will jump off the Jazz entirely. Charlotte just proved they have the depth to compete with anyone on any given night. Watch if Lauri comes back for Utah's next game, because without him this team is basically a fantasy wasteland except for George and Collier.
